Look of the Day – Lace and Grunge

Today I’m showing you one of my favorite looks – combining the femininity of lace with a severe jacket. I bought both these items off  Trademe for less than $40 and couldn’t be more pleased with the number of outfits I can create with these used separately as the base item. The jacket does up with internal studs which show if you leave the neck open. If you close them all the way up the collar, you have external studs showing and a couple of strips of  studs which hang down the front. The sleeves are slashed at the elbows and hang together by other pieces of the same stud-covered strips. I wear this silver skull brooch on the jacket as a fun piece which plays to the hard and the soft elements.
